On Wednesday 11th October I wrote to the Brexit Secretary David Davis MP, with the support of over 120 Members of Parliament, demanding that he published studies that the Department for Exiting the European Union have conducted into the impact of Brexit on our economy. You can read the letter in full below.
As I told The Guardian: "We have to wonder what exactly the government are hiding in refusing to publish these reports. Parliament and the public have a right to know what analysis the government has done on the impact of Brexit, particularly if this analysis reveals that a hard Brexit will be a disaster for our economy, jobs, trade and living standards". You can read more in The Independent, The Mirror, The Times and the Financial Times.
Best for Britain have subsequently launched a campaign, a legal challenge is underway and a parliamentary petition has been organised.
