Music education

I spoke to Music Teacher Magazine about the importance of music education for their September 2017 edition. When I was 10 years old I was awarded an Inner London Education Authority choral scholarship to attend The King's School, a state boarding school in Peterborough. I am very grateful to my teacher Mrs Shepherd - who changed my life - and I am a very proud advocate of music education and access to the arts.

In the coming months I will be campaigning to changes the Ebacc - the current composition of which has downgraded the arts and culture in our schools and made it more difficult for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the arts and culture.
