Hosting the British Caribbean Association
Earlier this week (20th March) I hosted the British Caribbean Association (BCA) in Parliament. I am a proud son of Windrush Generation immigrants and I was delighted to welcome over 60 members of the BCA to Parliament along with Dawn Butler MP, Clive Lewis MP and Baroness Howells.
I am concerned that young people from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds are not as politically engaged as older generations. It is vitally important that young people from all backgrounds get involved in decisions that will have a huge impact on their future - that is the challenge for community groups and organisations.
