Visit to Haringey Sixth Form College

On Friday 9th September 2016 I visited Haringey Sixth Form College, where I addressed the new AS students to encourage them as they embark on their first year of college. I was pleased to hear that, as of its Ofsted inspection in 2015, the college has been ranked ‘good’ due to the change of opportunities being provided which strengthen student development and learning, such as the college's PiXL edge program or Russell group forum.

It was a pleasure to walk around the college and see so many ambitious students determined to achieve their goals. I enjoyed discussing with the students their views on topics ranging from the Voting age, Syrian refugees, The Labour party, Brexit and the positive changes occurring in their community.

Haringey Sixth Form is continuously evolving and I look forward to seeing further progress to be made. Thank you to everyone who made me so welcome on my visit.
