Crossrail 2 APPG meeting
This morning I chaired a meeting of the Crossrail 2 All-Party Parliament Group attended by a number of Members of Parliament representing constituencies that will benefit from the scheme as well as local authorities and other key organisations including Transport for London, London First, Network Rail and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Michele Dix, Managing Director of Crossrail 2, outlined the programme of work being undertaken to make Crossrail 2 a reality as well as plans for further public consultations later this year. Michele also took questions from MP's seeking clarification on how Crossrail 2 will impact their constituents as well as issues around timeframes and budget.
In my capacity as Chair of the Crossrail 2 APPG I will continue to work hard to ensure that investment in this crucial infrastructure project is forthcoming as soon as possible to improve transport links for Londoners and boost jobs, growth and housing opportunities.
As plans for Crossrail 2 continue to develop I will continue to represent the interests of Tottenham and Haringey residents to ensure that the area gets the best possible deal in terms of improved transport links, new homes, jobs and economic growth.
