Yesterday I was invited on to BBC's Daily Politics show. With a month to go until polling day the discussion was focused on the referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union, particularly claims made by the Vote Leave campaign that Turkey will be joining the European Union imminently and the British veto of any potential Turkish accession.
I said that "This is whipping up a storm to get a debate about immigration not a debate about the EU and I suspect it's not merely merited".
"It's not imminent. It's not happening. And now we're whipping up a storm about a problem that is not on the cards. It's absolutely clear that the three major countries in Europe do not want them to come in".
You can watch the section of the show discussing this issue here.
I was also questioned regarding allegations that the Conservative Party misallocated spending during the 2015 General Election campaign that are currently being investigated by the police.
I said that the Metropolitan Police should look into what went on at Conservative Central Office to get to the bottom of this matter.
