This Week

On Thursday I was pleased to be asked to review the political week on BBC One’s This Week alongside Michael Portillo and host Andrew Neil.

I criticised Boris Johnson’s decision to campaign for Britain to leave the European Union as driven by self-interest and his wish to become the next Prime Minister and expressed my support for Britain to remain a member of the European Union. Membership of the EU makes us a more secure and prosperous nation and I will be joining Labour colleagues in campaigning for an ‘In’ vote from now until polling day in June. For my ‘moment of the week’ I selected the amazing video of 106 year old Virginia McLaurin dancing with the Obamas in the White House.
