Join us on a march to save the Whittington Hospital

Wednesday, 24 February 2010

Come and join me on Saturday for a march to save the Whittington Hospital Accident & Emergency department.

As you will no doubt already know, NHS North Central London Sector is currently considering making cut backs across hospitals in North London, with the Whittington A&E looking the most likely to suffer at the present.

With no Accident & Emergency Department in Tottenham or even Haringey and a recent study showing the stark differences in life expectancy between affluent Kensington and Chelsea and more deprived areas of Tottenham, this is no time to cut vital emergency services that serve the area.

So join me, Karen Jennings, Council Leader Claire Kober and Haringey Councillors on a march on Saturday from Highbury Corner (outside Highbury & Islington tube) to the Whittington Hospital from midday, marching up the Holloway Road, and eventually arriving at the hospital.

We will be joining Islington MPs Jeremy Corbyn and Emily Thornberry, Islington Councillors and North London Trade Unionists.

When: 12pm, Saturday 27th February.

Where: At Highbury Corner (next to Highbury and Islington Tube)

Come and show your support for your local Hospital.

I look forward to seeing you there,

David Lammy MP
